Policy for Circulation

Library is open all days, except Sunday and institute notified holidays.

Students, faculty and staff can borrow library materials from the library from:-

Library Hours:

Monday - Friday : 11:30 am - 6:30 pm
1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Lunch Timing:

1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Carrying identity card and library card is mandatory to all who enter the library. Only active (current) students, faculty and staff can issue books from library.

Individuals without identity and library card (external students, visiting faculty, alumni and guests) should contact librarian to complete their procedure for issue of books.

1 Book at a time for home issue (Textbook or Issue Book)

3 Books at a time for current reading (Textbooks or Reference Books)

Journals, Magazine, Newspapers, Question Papers, Scales, Dissertations

Duration of Books issue:

7 days (twice renewal)

For current use only (only in the library)

Not for home issue, can be refer only in the library

Fine for Late return of Books

Students (UG / PG): Rs. 5 / day, after due date

Faculty: Rs. 5 / day, after due date

Staff: Rs. 5 / day, after due date

Ph.D Students: Rs. 5 / day, after due date

Other then KJSCPT Student: Rs. 10 / day, after due date

Other then KJSCPT Faculty: Rs. 10 / day, after due date

Return of Library Books (Circulation Timing)

For return of Library books students, faculty and staff should physically bring borrowed books to the library. Library timings for book issue / return is as below.

Regular Days:

Monday - Friday - 11:40 am to 6:20 pm

Saturday - 11:40 am to 3:20 pm

1During Lunch Time - 1.00 pm to 2.00 pm circulation will be closed.

During Exam Period :

Monday - Friday - 11:40 am to 6:20 pm

Saturday - 11:40 am to 3:20 pm

Reminder to return for overdue of books :

Reminder e-mails are sent to borrowers before due date and after due date if books have not been returned (for overdue books)

Loss and Damage of Library Books :

If any library user loss or damage issued / unissued books (current issued books) / any library material, then he / she should replace the same material or book to the Library.

Reserve Book Online

Library books can be Reserved online. Students can reserve the book in case of desired book is already issue to another borrower. Once the reserve book, back into the library system will send notification through an email to the reserved member. The reserved book will be kept at the issue counter for next two days to the member who has reserved that book online.

Renew Book Online

There are two methods for library book renewal. Book can’t be renew, if that book is reserved another borrower.

Online Renewal:

In this method borrower can reissue books by login at library portal and renew the books, he has to use his svv net id and password for the same.

By using this method borrower cannot reissue book on or before the due date.

Physical book renewal by visiting the Library.

If any borrower is not able to renew the books online, then the student has to bring the books in library physically for renewal on or before the due date.
