Course Outcomes

The graduate physical therapist can be employed in different health facilities like:

  • Tertiary healthcare centres with rehabilitation settings or intensive care settings or both Nursing homes and hospitals catering to specific medical health care like cardiac care, general surgical care, neurological care etc
  • Charitable trust OPD’s and polyclinics
  • Specialised pain clinics , sports clinics
  • Industrial setup’s
  • Community centres, Geriatric nursing homes
  • General Fitness and Wellness centres
  • Physiotherapy service providers
  • Therapist will be able to practise independently in own clinic
  • Therapist can practise privately by doing independent home visits

Pedagogy

The pedagogy comprises clinical learning in postings, experiential learning, research projects, assignments, presentations, guest lectures, camps, field visits, and interactive classroom lectures. Students are expected to self-study and come prepared for the classes. The teaching-learning process lays emphasis on leadership and integrative thinking as peer group learning.

2002

Undergraduate program BPTH in Physiotherapy started with an intake of 30 students per year.

2007

The first batch of students graduated with flying colours.

2013

College got permission from MUHS to increase its intake from 30 to 40 per year.

2018

Increase in seats from 40 to 100.

Participating in various inter-college and intra-college competitions with peers help students gather acumen to tackle real life scenarios and enhance team skills.

Complete repertoire of skills necessary for becoming a valued and sought after therapist will be imparted to all students.
